1st Kids' EE Local Training
29 May-2 June 2011
10 children were equipped for KEE.
Something to share:
When teaching the session on SCAVENGER HUNT, we realised that the way we used to do it didn't work with these children. Just by seeing the teacher giving examples on how to use an object to bridge into the gospel wasn't helping the children. So the teacher had to initiate the children to think by prompting them with questions.
Example:
Teacher: (holding an eraser) What is this for?
Possible answer: Erasing mistakes
Teacher: How would that connect to us?
Possible answer: We also make mistakes.
Teacher: What do we do when we make mistakes?
Possible answer: We can say "Sorry" or We need to be forgiven.
Teacher: How would you connect that to Jesus now?
Possible answer: Jesus erases our mistakes.
Teacher: Now let's try to put it together.
"This eraser is useful to me because it helps me to erase my written mistakes. This reminds me that I sometimes do wrong too and Jesus can erase my mistakes by forgiving my wrong doing."
"Who is Jesus?"
" Jesus is God. He came from heaven to earth, lived a perfect life, died on the cross to pay for our sins, was buried and rose from the dead on the third day, and is in heaven now offering us the free gift of eternal life."
May more children be blessed when the gospel is shared.
